LDRC Camp At Berriewood Farm
Friday 21st June 2019 - Monday 24th June 2019
LDRC will be holding its first camp from the 21st to 23rd of June 2019 at Berriewood Equestrian Centre, Condover, Near Shrewsbury
We want to make it as inclusive as possible for all members who attend irrespective of their ability and experience and above all for everyone to have a fun and enjoyable experience.
The intention is that the LDRC camp is a mixed camp, with flat, jumping & XC schooling lessons, but if you don’t jump or are nervous about jumping we will be able to accommodate you with alternative activities.
Cost is £200 with places being limited by number of stables available so it will be on a first come first served basis with a deposit of £50 securing a place. The balance will need to be paid by 21st May 2019, but the intention is for payments to be made in instalments if you wish.
The cost of camp will include group lessons, camping for 2 nights in your own tent, caravan, trailer or lorry, breakfast, lunch and BBQ Saturday evening. Stabling for your horse is included with straw bedding, but alternative bedding can be arranged but at extra cost.
We will eat at the local pub Friday evening, but this isn’t included in the price and must be paid for separately.
Arrival will be from 3pm Friday and a lesson can be arranged for that afternoon at an extra cost of £20 or you may wish to go for a hack.
Saturday will include 3 group lessons including flat work, Show Jumping and Cross Country or alternatives for any non-Jumpers. On Saturday, if you are unsuccessful in securing a place or can’t make it for the whole weekend, we intend to allow members to come for the day to take part in lessons and clinics. This will be at a cost of £100 for the whole day.
There will be a BBQ Saturday night with a quiz which is open to non-camp attendees including camper’s family members at a cost of £12 for LDRC members and £15 for non-members.
Sunday will include 2 group lessons, with camp closing at 4pm.
Instructors are Jane Palmer, Jon Rogers and Jonquil Hemmings. Demonstrations will be by Ros Smith – Physiotherapy and Allen and Page will be attending with a weighbridge giving equine nutritional advice. Further demonstrations or activities TBC.
