Area 18 Dressage

Thank you to everyone who came to support us and volunteered their help, time and equipment at our first go at hosting an area 18 competition. We ran the area dressage at Aston Munslow on Sunday 14th July and it was a great success! We had 5 arenas and a total of 28 tests. There were 89 combinations, 10 people riding multiple horses and most people doing more than one test. As you can imagine this caused a bit of a logistical nightmare in sorting the times and running different tests in different arenas! Thankfully it didn’t rain and we managed to get the scores out in a timely fashion so everyone went home happy.

Thank you to all of our helpers, we couldn’t have done it without you! We hope you enjoy your gift or voucher and that you will join us again at our next event. Thanks to Heather Blythe and Walter Davies who allowed us to use their fields and to Heather and Liz for providing lunch and refreshments. We think we have made about £1000 for the club which is a fantastic achievement.

Everyone came home with a rosette which is always nice and we had two sets of pairs qualify for the champs!!

Show jumping-

Hayley, Isabel, Yvonne and Donna went to Evesham for the 80cm and from what I hear the course was not easy and they had a few poles here and there but all had a great time which is all that matters. 
Sorry I wasn’t there to see you.

Thanks everyone for competing for your club today and I hope your all really proud of you and your horses!

Summer Camp Report

Thanks to everybody that made our 1st RC camp a resounding success. Penny, the facilities were first class, Jon, Jonquil and Jane your instruction was great, Emma and Alexa your photos are fab, Heather, you spoilt us with the lunches and all of the RC committee you all worked hard to make it successful. I have a few camp rosettes left so if you didn’t collect one please contact me. I also have a size S polo shirt, please let me know if its yours.

We have decided to give a prize to the member that rode well, improved and entered into the camp spirit. This wasn’t an easy decision as so many of you fitted our criteria. Jo Dean, please contact me to arrange collection of your prize – a RC saddlecloth.
