Vice chairman- Wendy Woodward

Own one horse called Liffi we love competing in teams for the club at low level dressage and eventing but we also love hacking in the lovely Corvedale area. Was a founder member of the club and really enjoy helping organise the Mercian teams and monthly dressage competitions. Juggling it all around running a business and helping at a busy livery yard.

Sarah Madeley – Treasurer

I grew up on a farm in the Corvedale, and I remember being completely obsessed with ponies and horses from the age of 6. I had a very naughty pony called Pippa who deposited me most days when we explored the countryside between Wenlock Edge and Brown Clee. I had a 25 year break from riding while I pursued a cooking career in London, travelled, then raised a family as a farmer’s wife near Rushbury. My passion was re-ignited when I was given a retired hunter called Sid, who was followed by the lovely, but accident prone, Basil. I now ride my Morgan mare, Marron, who I bought as a yearling. I’m looking forward to taking part in more riding club activities this year on her.

Julie Tustin- Training
I started riding at the local riding school age 9. I brought my own horse Mr Darcy age 30 and have never looked back. I currently have 3 horses, a coloured mare called Tilly & two companion ponies.  I’m very interested in Working Equitation & Horsemanship. I enjoy clinics, hacking, jumping & lessons.

Sarah Alderson – Training

I have been on the committee a couple of years and enjoy clinics and more recently I have enjoyed competing with other members on the teams. I organise training at Bow House and happy to chat with anyone to sort the right clinic for you. I have a spotty pony and have really enjoyed my time in the club and have done things that I thought I would never do. Show jumping teams and arena eventing, things I thought I would never do again .

Karen Keeling – Camps and clinics

I was that pony mad little girl, but my family did not have the resources to support my riding aspirations. To compensate I worked at various yards, first as a stable girl then breaking, jumping, breeding, schooling, racing, I was fortunate to be involved with the top locations from Hickstead to Ascot. In my 20’s I gave up horses to develop a career, my journey took me to London where I discovered the love or Art, Antique and Design working alongside some great fashion names.

Luck brought me to my home in Wales. My long-term love of Horses was rekindled as Glen my pony came to me as a young colt, he is all my own work from backing to competing and so our journey together has started…onwards upwards and forwards and over the hills far away. Getting involved with the LDRC early in 24 doing basic SJ and building up to Eventing.

I am part of the team to organise the Camp and other events.
