LDRC Camp 21st -23rd June 2019 Berriewood Equestrian Centre, Condover, Near Shrewsbury

This is a 2/3 day camp depending on your preference
All riders will have 5 lessons over the 3 days, mix of flatwork, showjumping and cross country, however, we can cater for the non-jumpers but please indicate on the booking form.

Either arrive 12pm Friday for 1 lesson that afternoon, 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday. Alternatively, arrive by 6pm Friday and have 3 lessons on Saturday and 2 Sunday.

Jonquil Hemming- BHS St 5 performance coach in complete horsemanship. UKCC Level 3 BE. Jonquil specialises in eventing and coaches the FEI Pony team
Jon Rogers – BECC Level 3 (UKCC) PC Level 3 – Jon teaches from grassroots to more experienced combinations in all disciplines
Jane Palmer BHSII and BD listed judge, Jane has competed to BE Advanced and is passionate about giving horses and riders chance to fulfil their potential

There will be some unmounted activities too, these include Allen and Page feed advice and weighbridge and a demonstration by Ros Smith Equine Physiotherapist.

Cost is £225 with places being limited by number of stables available so it will be on a first come first served basis with a deposit of £50 securing a place. The balance will need to be paid by 21st May 2019, but the intention is for payments to be made in installments if you wish.
The cost of camp will include group lessons, camping for 2 nights in your own tent, caravan, trailer or lorry. All food is included from Friday evening until you go home on Sunday evening. The local pub will be delivering our supper on Fri eve, your choice of food being made closer to camp, a menu will be emailed to you. On Saturday we will be having a BBQ and Quiz, non-campers welcome at £15 for non-members and £12 members
Stabling for your horse is included with straw bedding, but alternative bedding can be arranged but at extra cost.
If you can only attend for 1 day only this may be possible please contact one of the organisers.

Facilities available for camps 2019

Riding Areas



Surfaces: 20 X 44 Indoor School, 20 X 60 outdoor manage, 42 X 44 jump surface

Cross country: Main XC course:   70,80,90 and some 100 fences including water, banks, ditches.      Mini XC:   banks, ditch and jumps ≤ 70 cm.        New schooling area:   – water splash, small banks, logs

Grass Areas: Dressage boards,     Show Jump course,        Show jump grid            

Woodland Tracks

Club Room Room with heating and basic equipment for light refreshments.  We do not provide cooking facilities.

There are 2 fridges and kettles/boiler.

Tables and chairs for up to 35/40 people. 

Toilets & Showers 1 toilet and shower on the main yard

2 ladies, 1 disabled and 1 gents toilets and 1 disabled shower in the RDA Block

2 showers and 1 toilet under the indoor school gallery.

Rubbish & Waste All rubbish must be removed from the site or a contribution made towards a skip
Camping Area


There is an enclosed paddock area for tents, caravans, trailers etc.

Alternatively there is a tarmac area near to the RDA room and showers.
